Hello NEHIMSS Members,
We wanted to update you on the latest developments regarding NEHIMSS representation during National HIT Week in Washington, DC, September 21-25, 2009. Many of our NEHIMSS colleagues will be present including NEHIMSS Board members. The NEHIMSS membership will be well represented on Advocacy Day, on the Hill, Wednesday, September 23, 2009.
See the list of Advocacy team members below who represent this year's NEHIMSS Advocacy team. NEHIMSS members will be in place in Washington meeting with Congressional leadership representing their New England states. Also, plans have already begun to drive Advocacy initiatives for the coming year including the NEHIMSS Public Policy Forum, planned for the Spring of 2010...so, stay tuned.
Jon Mello, our Chapter's Advocacy Chair, along with the Chapter's State Advocacy Liaisons: Richard Kubica-CT, Eric Johannesson-NH, Robert Dichter-MA, Don Whitmore-MA, Stephen Earle-RI, Susan Moran-RI, Andrea Lott-VT, will be in Washington meeting with their respective State's members of Congress and their Staffs.
If you're attending National HIT Week and would like an opportunity to meet with your State's Advocacy Liaison, please contact him or her. Additionally, if you know your Legislators or members of their Staffs and would like to get involved with NEHIMSS Chapter Advocacy, please contact your State's Liaison below.
