Neil will speak about the future of Canadian healthcare and five key priorities:
1. Baseline EHR and Infostructure across Canada
2. Safety and Decision Support and Communication across the care continuum
3. Public visibility into Wait Times (Surgery, Radiation Treatment, etc.)
4. Patient Self-Care
5. High Priority system needs (Chronic Disease Management)
The total cost of achieving these 5 priorities is $5Billion. Once implemented, the systems are expected to generate $3Billion in annual benefits.
About the speaker:
Neil Russon is a co-founder of Accreon Inc. and CFO. Prior to Accreon, Neil was a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Advansys Technology and Management Consulting.
Neil has held executive positions in various public sector and private organizations including Director of HealthCare for Aliant; Vice President, Business Development, Healthcare – Fujitsu Consulting; Vice President, Business Operations, Ontario and Atlantic – Fujitsu Consulting; Vice President, Atlantic Canada– DMR; and, Chief Executive Officer, New Brunswick Extra Mural Hospital.
