The Board of New England HIMSS invites you to join us for a day of in-depth discussion on public and private initiatives and the impact on New England.
Join us for a day of lively discussion - learn new information from public and private initiatives, including the latest outcomes affecting the New England healthcare landscape from Washington. A continental breakfast and luncheon will be included in the registration, and a networking reception will follow.
Objective: The NEHIMSS Public Policy Forum is where Healthcare IT Professionals, Clinicians, Government Executives and Vendors from New England come together for a day of education and dialogue. This event is extremely timely, with the presence of ARRA and the HITECH Act and our Nation reviewing the delivery and financing of healthcare, the Public Policy Forum will provide attendees an opportunity to gain knowledge firsthand regarding current policy initiatives within the New England states AND the opportunity to discuss with experts in the field how to best use public policy and private initiatives along with technology to impact the quality, delivery, and future of healthcare.
The day will include:
- The National HIMSS Healthcare Reform Perspective
- A Look at the Dynamics of Public and Private Initiatives
- A Review of Existing Health Policy Reform at the
State Level: What Works / What Does Not
- A Panel Discussion on ARRA and the Impact on Providers
- Health Plans and their 2010 Challenges
- The National Perspective from the United States Senate
The Public Policy Forum’s agenda will be available online shortly, please visit this webpage often for the latest information. Also, we will be sending an email annoucement when it becomes available.
